Finding the right store to buy a bong online in Canada can be a challenge. Often it comes down to selection and price. BC Smoke Shop has over 100 different kinds of bongs for sale right here in Canada, and that’s not including our one of a kind local glass pieces! Feel free to give us a call, email, or reach out on facebook so that we can help. We have a great selection and a wide price range all available online and at our store.
The staff at BC Smoke Shop chooses only the best and most functional bongs available. We look for current developments in the industry and we weed out the older styles to make sure that what people are buying is what’s happening in the weed world. Male joints on bongs for dab rigs are being phased out so we phase them out for instance.
Choosing a Glass Bong or a Silicone Bong
All pieces have their time and place. Glass is almost always the best because you can clean it to a neutral where Silicone can stand the test of the trunk of your car. Festivals have banned glass so when that time comes sure your favorite piece might be glass but your going to have to use something like a silicone bong.
Glass bongs have the cleanest smoke and are the easiest to maintain, clean, and fix. With glass bongs downstems are replaceable. It’s easy just to buy a new one and put it in, whereas some pieces from plastic bongs use a metal downstem and a plastic grommet and those can break down over time. The acrylics can become really brittle just from all the heat passing through them and the structure of these pieces don’t always hold up when you’re removing downstems and putting in new parts. With glass as long as it doesn’t drop or get a crack it will stand the test of time.
Choosing a bong depends your personal preferences. Some things to look for are waterflow, drag, and durability.
Drag has everything to do with how much water fits in the base of your bong. A lot of water creates a lot of drag when you pull through a bong. A bong with a really big beaker on the bottom will hold a good amount of water, have a lot of drag and a good amount of push back on the pull. For a good slow bubble choose a bong with a fat bottom and a wide mouthpiece.
Straight shooters are a good choice when you like to smoke fast and hard. Choose a straight bong that holds less water with no percolators, and no ice pinch. Just a straight column that produces a fast hit!
When it comes to temperature, luke warm water can produce some of the smoothest draws. At the same time a lot of people prefer ice pinches so that you can put ice cubes in the neck of the bong to cool the smoke - the neck on bongs can vary, some times you will have to make smaller ice cubes or melt them down yourself to fit.
Buying bongs online VS Buying bongs at a store
Sometimes the choice to buy a bong online comes down to selection. If the city that you live in doesn’t have what you really really want then it’s time for online shopping. Often you can find a deal online that you can’t find anywhere else. For the most part buying online makes the most sense when it allows you to get a piece you just can’t find anywhere else, or when that piece you’ve been coveting finally goes on sale.

Buying in-store certainly has advantages. It’s often better to have that piece in your hand so you can inspect it and find the features that you’re looking for without having to guess by using pictures.
